MY BIO
Hi,
my name is Agim Bacelli.
I
was born & grown-up, in Korcha city, settled in Southeast of Albania next to the border of Greece.
I started to versify, since I was 12 years old, even, younger. My late father was a popular poet (bejtexhi). He used to versify
easily & recitation to me. That was a very sweet-tongued!
He taught me to read, to read...and how to make verses, a poem, telling me "its secrets". Sometimes I failed creating verses
and I had to go back as a prose-writer to write prosing as short stories. So, poetry and prose become my hobby. I had to publish, my articles in Albanian Newspapers & Albanian Mass-media.
I
never was able to publish my own works, because of communist regime, in Albania.
The Albanian poets and writers seemed to be "crazy people" during the communist
regime and many of them finished in jail. I used to publish any publications
article or short story and poem, but a book, never. I was scared by any persecution of communist regime. In 1991, the DOOR
OF DEMOCRACY, was open for me and my country, Albania.
I
came to America, on May 22-nd,1995, by
"Diversity Visa" with my family, my wife & two sons named, Ermalg (Eric) & Erkend (Kenny).
America, this Land of the opportunity, FREE & BIG COUNTRY, gave me
the chance, to publish in Albanian my own six works as:

Currently,
I am working in a maintenance company in Manhattan, New York
& a second job, as a security officer in "Task Force" in Brooklyn.
I
speak three language in admired level as: English, Italian & Russian. I write poems in English, now & I am very proud
of that.
